I didn’t sleep much at all last night. I went to bed at nine, but then I woke up again at eleven feeling SO SICK, panicking at the thought of stomach flu but then realizing that it was probably only a product of a sky-rocket stress level in combination with dinner consisting of a huge piece of cake.
Anyway, I couldn’t sleep so I lay on the couch watching Kissing Jessica Stein on TV instead. I think I went back to bed at 1.20, but I still couldn’t fall asleep. After dozing off and on for a couple of hours I finally got up again at 4.30, fifteen minutes before the alarm set off.
I think my stress level has been way too high these past days, but now that the money is exchanged (I worried a bit about that) and the pressure from the exams is gone, I’m feeling calm and relaxed. and oh so tired.
but actually, I think that all there is left to do now is laundry tomorrow night and then packing the bag.
Two days to go now, people. TWO DAYS!!

Annika, tesoro……EVEN IF you forget the toothpaste, we have that here, and sunscreen, socks, deodorant, hair PRODUCTS…..etc etc etc!!!
Ohhhhh myyyyyyyyy you will be in Italy sooooooooooooooon!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!! WHOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
I know, Laurie
Well I have made the purchases now so all that is left to remember is to pack it down. Tomorrow I’ll get rid of those dark (albeit still light blonde) roots that are starting to show, and then… well then it’s Thursday and AFTER THAT IT’S FRIDAY!
oh wow! I am so jealous. You are going to have such an amazing time! everything will be fine, and it sounds like you are in good hands once you arrive
Obviously I read this after the email! hee hee I knew you wouldn’t be able to sleep! Anything you forget I will have. I am one of those people who packs everything (including the kitchen sink). My rational is that I have a car so why not fill it with shoes, clothes, medicines, toiletries, hair styling implements etc… etc… etc…
I am the opposite. I pack as light as I can with everything except fun stuff like books (and books to me asre the second funniest thing on earth; guess which is the first…), knitting supplies (ok, not that fun, but extremely relaxing) and similar things. The rest I can do without. I guess my dream hliday is one where I do not have to bring anything except these (and two another supplies much needed for the most funny thing on earth: a lover and condoms).
I just wanted to say have a really good time to everyone who is going. Don’t forget to take your camera Annika so those of us who can’t be there can at least see the photos afterwards!!
My goodness– I can really feel your excitement!
Alice if you discover you need anything apart from your books and knitting just ask! See you Saturday x
