As the ferry left the pier I bit my lip and blinked the tears away. Every cell in my body was screaming to turn back, but all I could do was to look out the window and watch as the fairytale got smaller and smaller and eventually vanished altogether.
He looked at me, kissed me, said “We will be back, ok?”
I tried to smile, then had to look away and blink even harder. I couldn’t reply, my throat was cramped.
Yes. We will be back.

oh anna…no words for you. just empathy, and ood thoughts that you will return…xoxox
I also don’t have words for what you are feeling right now…I’ve watched that same view and cried my eyes out, yet been unable to explain it. Just remember that you will return.
I look forward to hearing about it. Until then….hang in there.
Selkie-sister, I know how you feel. I know how you feel. You’ll be back.
Glad you guys had a great time. Most important of all your husband promised a return trip. The kids look like they had a ball.
I’ve been there
Looking forward to hearing more about your trip.
welcome back! now you can start planning your next trip
I felt the exact same way when I was leaving Italy after my first trip. And you see how that turned out
Your tears must mean that you had a wonderful time. I look forward to reading your tales of fairytale land.
You’ll be back before you know it! Why not come for New Years Eve?
