rolling

On second thought (or rather the twohundredth thought, but whatever), that other house might not be so perfect after all. I still love the house, but the location could be better. The little village is a little too far away for the daily commutes to be comfortable, and the main industry is closing down which could mean that the little village seizes to exist. Buying that house might mean that ten years from now we find ourselves in a position where we want to sell an unsellable house.

But you know what.. I think that by opening my heart and soul to that house, I also made way for other houses. Today we went to look at two houses only 20 km from here, and it just so happened that we drove too far and found a third house for sale which too seems pretty darn perfect*.

I think we’ve got our ball rolling. There is a house out there that is meant for us, perfect for us, and I feel deep in my heart that we will get it.

*Edit: I asked dad to look at the house and he immediately found lots and lots of things about it that make it far from perfect, instead it’s quite an object for heavy restoration.  Oh well. The house is out there somewhere, and it will find us when the time is right.

Start also shopping around for the morgage. Sinc eyou made your mind on purchasing, you may want to be ready to sign both contracts at once and not have to wait for the purchase contract until you have made your mind about the mortgage. ;-*

My Dad is just like that too! My eldest brother made me promise to ask him for advice instead of Dad who finds fault with every big buy!!

Hm, I guess I should have read this first. :-) It was the universe’s way of saying that there IS something out there that is exactly what you want. You’re getting closer! :-)

I’m looking to buy too… A few weeks ago I was hunting away all the time, now I’m concentrating on Christmas instead :)
