It’s long, but it’s f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c. Take the time to watch this fenomenal last lecture by Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch, who is dying from pancreatic cancer. I saw him on Oprah today and just had to share.
Randy Pausch: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams
Also featured on the show was Kris Carr – an amazing young woman, wonderfully beautiful inside out, who has a rare and incurable form of cancer in her liver and lungs. Despite this, she is pulsating with life and joy. Cancer has pushed her to live life to its fullest, not to lay down and die. She has written a book, Crazy Sexy Cancer, she has a blog which I just found, and she had the nerve to call ms Winfrey “Crazy sexy Oprah”. I adored her immediately.
You see, we’re all going to die. That’s a fact. People who have cancer just have a little more knowledge about the ‘when’ and ‘how’ than the rest of us. They’re working on a deadline, so to speak, and some of them decide to grasp this opportunity and make the very best of the time they get.
We all have this choice: Live now, while we know that we’re alive, or take the risk of never getting the chance to live.
Now is all we know. Don’t wait. Live now. That tomorrow you’re waiting for might never come.
Live now.

I have very few words of my own to write today, but my head is a jumble of thoughts. All my loose ideas are gathering before me, dancing around, forming shapes that make me wild with desire. I so know that this is what I am supposed to do, what I am going to do, but I can’t shake the feeling that it’s not supposed to happen here and not quite yet… but soon.

Annika….yet another blog post that made my day yesterday when I was feeling horrible. Love the video, he speaks the truth and makes you want to live even better because he is doing it now. Great thoughts and great post! Thank you!
Thanks for this lovely post. I am so thrilled that what randy and i chatted about with Crazy Sexy Oprah inspired you doll! You are doing good work in the cyber universe, keep it up.
Peace, veggies and BIG love,
Kris Carr
