can’t stop

I’m doing it again.

What do I pack? What must I bring? I write lists longer than my suitcase.

Sunscreen. Wet wipes. Aloe vera gel. Bug spray. Do I need to bring bug spray? Are there mosquitos in Amalfi?

Ridiculous. If we should need it I know where the farmacia in Amalfi is. Should that be closed, I know where the one in Positano is. I’ve been there before.

Stop fretting, Annika. Everything will be fine.

If the pictures on this website are real, I think it’s not the attacks of mosquitoes you’ll have to defend yourself from, down in Amalfi.

Yes, everything will be fine. Anything you forget you can buy. Must get some Aloe Vera gel – I read it’s great for sunburn – I’m just getting over a bad case of sunburn :( There are no mosquitoes at the moment in Amalfi, but in a month I imagine there will be a few of those pesky mites.

Packing is so complicated for me too, then on the way back everything is in the case in 5 mins :D

    Annika,
Whether you have forgotten anything or not, once you get there and breathe the Italian air and hear the waves and feel the breeze everything will just melt away. You won’t even remember what you forgot. :)
It will be more than fine.

You will probably need bug spray for night time, unless there are mosqito blinds on the windows. There is a farmacia in th e piazza by the fountain where I took your photos last year while we ate ice cream. Opening hours from 9-1 and 4-9. But you can get bug spray in the supermarket too. Stop fussing and get on over here!

You are going to have the most fabulous time! You must go to that little restaurant we both love and eat some good food. Take photos and email them to me. You are so lucky!! There is a perfume place right under the stairs of the church. If you are looking at the stairs to your left – it’s over there literally beneath the stairs. The guy that runs the shop is so nice. Last time we were there I bought some perfume from him – Tiare was the scent and he only had one left. Well something happened – I lost it and when I went back to him to see if he had gotten any in and he hadn’t he gave me the sample bottle for free. So sweet. You must treat yourself to one fancy dinner on the water…I wish I could think of the name. I want to say marina grande for some reason. It’s the blue sign – towards the left. The food is so good and the owner is very nice.

Have a wonderful time!! I can’t wait to read all about your trip.

    k.
