I am beginning to feel that if (when) I go to Italy in May, I want to visit Florence. The main reason for the trip is the Expats in Italy Monster GTG 2010, but that’s only one day. If Ryanair flight schedules stay the same, I will most likely fly down on Thursday and back home on Monday or Tuesday, and I would need something to do the rest of the days. I was thinking about staying in Siena, or at Monaciano (which most likely is where the GTG will be), but…
I think it is time for Florence and I to finally meet.
Alyson has been kind enough to suggest a hotel that looks beautiful, is in a great location and very reasonably priced. The more I think about it, or rather, the more I let the idea develop on its own inside my head, the more I like it.
You really should go to Florence, it’s a very beautiful city, full of nice places to visit and a wonderful museum! And the best thing is you can do everything walking because isn’t so big!

maybe I am a little (a lot) biased, but you are going to LOVE it! I agree with what Roberta says, and the food, the wine… I will expect you to take care of all that for me if we can’t make it!!!
