I have begun the exciting and joyous (?) task of packing for my trip. I started with a (long) list of things I absolutely have to bring with me. Whittled that down and now I have a (sort of long) list of things I absolutely have to bring with me.And I need to get a new suitcase today because the ones I have are either too small (short weekend trips) or too gigantic (for moving to Switzerland for a year, which I once did)… I need something in the middle. In the past I have just borrowed “middle-sized†luggage but I think I ought to have something I can call my own. I’ll get it at Ross and save myself some $ (or in my case, €).
Pondered over whether or not to buy an electricity converter and bring my own hair dryer, but having heard two different stories from two different parts of Italy about blowing the fuse for an entire apartment building or hotel by using an American hair dryer, I have opted to wait until I get there and buy an Italian hair dryer. It’s an expense but at least I will save myself the embarrassment.
Right now it’s just a case of twiddling my thumbs and staring at the calendar (while conjugating verbs in the subjunctive, of course).
