La Vita Va Avanti
It’s hard to leave Seattle, even if I’m going to be in Italy. I’m going to be in my favorite place in the world, but that doesn’t mean people’s lives here will be on hold. In Seattle, the tangueros will still dance, my Italian language group will still get together for dinner, my friends will have parties, two of my best friends will turn 30 and have big celebrations, new relationships will form, life in the U.S. will go on – without me. All of this dawned on me last night when some friends were making plans to go to a big tango thing together – after I’m gone. It made me feel very sad that I won’t be able to join them. So, I’m a little bummed out today. I have also been a bit of a slacker in the getting-ready-to-move-to-Italy department. Maybe it’s time for a little piece of chocolate.
