pant, pant, pant

September 24th, 2006

I leave in three days, I leave in three days, I leave in three days. My tummy is all fluttery and ticklish, my heart is beating faster by the minute, I’m giggling, I’m crying, I’m excited, and I’m nervous. Wow. I’m really annoyed at how hard it is to pack my things. I wish I could just magically beam everything over to Italy without having to pack. I’m very nervous about my living situation in Italy since I don’t officially have a place to live yet. There are some potential places but I imagine there is also competition so I’m really nervous. But I’ll be fine. Someone up there is taking care of me or I wouldn’t have gotten this far, right? Today I will bring my things to my stepmother’s house for storage, and she is also going to take my cat, Louise. Boy am I going to miss that purring sound in my ear at night. Well, back to work – so much to do, and so little time. Please pray for me everybody!

UPDATE: The living situation is okay.

No need for prayers. Wanna know why? Because sweetheart, you are going home. You are doing what you are meant to do, and things will unfold for you once you get there. Think of it this way: Perhaps you don’t have a place to stay yet because you still haven’t found The Place where you’re meant to stay.
Things happen for a reason, there’s no such thing as coincidence or luck.

I can’t believe it though. THREE DAYS! That’s nothing. See, I told you that time would fly, didn’t I?! I wasn’t expecting it to fly this fast though :) I’m so proud and happy for you.

I think you will be fine. There will be some bad days and some good days. I’m sure the good days will out weigh the bad ones. You will adjust and create a life in Italy in no time just like everyone else has.You wanted this so bad and so you are a little nervous about how things may go. Because you want this so bad I think things will work out just great for you. I enjoy reading your blogg and I will be living vicariously through you.
I hope to hear about your good and bad days of adjusting to life in Italy.By the way I wound up going to Florence for 2 weeks to study italian ( for the 3rd time) then I headed off to Tropea in Calabria to study for 2 weeks. I decided to leave siena for another time. I had a great time. ( not sure you remember me I e-mailed you during the summer when I was trying to figure out where to study.)

So excited for you! You’ll be here and in the groove of things before you know it. Good luck with the move :)

You could always borrow Nello, my cat, for a night or two. But I have to warn you that he’s been banned from my bedroom for an incurable habit of attacking my feet at sunrise. Maybe when he gets a little older I’ll let him back in. Right now he’s attacking an empty paper towel roll. I hope that tires him out!
    You’re almost here.

I know you will find the place you are meant to live when you get there. Remember that we will be there in January – well, Orvieto – but we will be near enough to get together and remind each other of why we love Italy so much we all decided to live there! We have three months so Ciao for now! Buon Viagio, amica.
