Something good about Seattle…
July 20th, 2007
While I always prefer Italy, there is one time when I am truly, truly grateful to be in Seattle during the month of July.
The Norstrom Anniversary Sale.
Did you know that Nordstrom started out in Seattle? Probably not. It was a small shoe store, first opened in 1901… and now it’s a national department store!
Enough history (though it really is inspiring) – if you’ll excuse me, I have some shopping to do…

Oh, just rub our noses in it, why don’t you?
I really miss Nordstrom. I was only fortunate enough to live near one for a few years, but as soon as I moved away I felt the lack. I could always find whatever I needed/wanted there!
Happy shopping!

came Via the Surviving Fleas
I love Seattle. AND YES I knew about Nordstrom. I used to work in the Lady Shoe Department down in Southern California (many moons ago)
I now avoid the beginning days of the sale only because I hated the crowds those first days!
Nice blog!

I must say I love Seattle in the Summer, I would much rather be cooler than too hot. I hated the past two summers in Torino.
Last summer we were in Sicily and have a friend who is starting a B and B (with a pool) about 10 minutes from Taormina. You will love it if you ever get the chance.
